“Greetings, Regional Contacts and Community Members!

It is with great pleasure that Burning Man invites YOUR participation in the 2014 Caravansary Souk, an interactive, collaborative art environment at the base of Man. We ask that you read the Caravansary text by Larry Harvey (linked below) to get a sense of the overall vision and that you brainstorm with your local communities about what interactive experiences you wish to contribute.

We encourage you to team up with other regions, to reach out to performers, artists, and theme camps within your area, and to stretch your imaginations. Please share this call for participation FAR and WIDE!

+JOIN THE LIST: To begin discussing your ideas with other groups from across the world, you may join the caravansary list by emailing brody@burningman.com. The caravansary-souk-list@burningman.com is where the Caravansary team will share key information about the project and answer you and your team’s questions.

+Before 5/27, we will send you specific guidelines and visuals, specs, floor plans, lighting availability, etc. and a link to an application and instructions for applying for your region’s or team’s Caravansary space.

+By 6/9, applications will be due and plans will begin to formalize.
